Target Audience-Shape

With an ever-growing audience of 5,384,000 subscribers, Shape magazine reaches out to an expansive demographic. From an age range of 25-39, approximately 91% of readers are female, 40% are mothers, 76% are employed, 57% are married, and 80% attended graduate college or higher; this allows Shape magazine to rake in a median HHI of $92,222. 
To reach such an expansive audience, the business and marketing team have created an app that allows for the current issue to always be at hand, a digital print (website), videos to be published on social platforms (YouTube, Twitter, Pintrest, Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook), as well as licensing with larger brands (i.e. Foster Grant for SHAPE or SHAPE Activewear), and hosting events for social media influencers to attend. From networking, this magazine has been able to grow and expand to be readily available to any of its avid readers at any time of the day; also, by utilizing the platforms of social media influencers they work with, they are paying to have their brand shared amongst younger and\or older crowds that might not have been exposed to the displayed content (this is a sponsorship).
Similar to the target audience of Shape, my magazine will reach an educated group of women, possibly men, that are married, single, employed, unemployed, mother, or daughter, to educate them in how to live a healthier lifestyle. In order to put our content out there to be successful, we will need to have our magazines displayed where most will see (i.e. grocery store checkout line, newspaper stand, coffee shop tables, hairdresser's waiting room, etc.), create a digital platform that has extra articles than the the current month's issue, as well as network with influencers who will help broadcast our product to their fanbase(s). By following suit, we are most likely going to be successful, especially since our content varies and does not remain parallel to past information.
